Getting Started

Welcome to the Knowledge Base. Follow this guide to connect your first site, or jump straight to the tool tutorials below.

Create Your Account

If you haven't already, sign up at app.syncranker.com. Once logged in, you will land on the Dashboard. This is your command center.

Connect Your WordPress Site

You have two ways to connect your site. The Plugin Method is recommended for speed.

Option A: The Plugin (Recommended)

  1. In the SyncRanker Dashboard, click the top navigation link "Download" to get the plugin zip file.
  2. Go to your WordPress Admin → Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin.
  3. Upload and Activate the syncranker-connector.zip.
  4. Go to Settings → SyncRanker in your WordPress menu.
  5. Click the big blue "Connect to Dashboard" button.

Option B: Manual Connection (App Password)

  1. In WordPress, go to Users → Profile.
  2. Scroll down to "Application Passwords".
  3. Name it "SyncRanker" and copy the generated password.
  4. In the SyncRanker Dashboard, click "My Sites" → "Add Site".
  5. Enter your Website URL, Admin Username, and the Application Password you just copied.

Troubleshooting Connection

If your site doesn't appear immediately or shows as "Disconnected":

  • Re-Connect: Simply click the "Connect" button in the WordPress plugin again to refresh the token.
  • Security Plugins: Ensure Wordfence or Cloudflare aren't blocking the REST API (`/wp-json`). Whitelist our IP if necessary.
  • Permalinks: Go to WordPress Settings → Permalinks and click "Save Changes" to flush rewrite rules.
